Too much extraneous info. May 24, 2010 notAyesperson 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book is ok, but has too much extra long story telling, makes too many references to the likes of Britney and Paris, and some concepts were confusing except for chapters where we just concentrated on word definitions.
For instance, the logic charts can be confusing if your instructor doesn't break them down for you. It would have been more challenging had the authors given us more not so obvious errors in critical thinking instead of giving obvious examples one might notice in young Hollywood.
I took this online, and my instructors notes were more helpful.
Very good March 15, 2010 Arlene Brambila 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
Very good condition as a used book. Received it in a timely manner. Very easy to understand, since it's literature is more modern with today's real world events and how to deal with the reliability of information.
Book received promptly and in excellent condition! Thank you! February 6, 2010 G. SHAENAN (West Hollywood, CA United States) 0 out of 5 found this review helpful

Bad thing was so late, and I got a wrong text book.. they sent again correct one though, i waited more than 10days since I had ordered one. I had lost so many assignments in class... good thing was the good condition of text book.
Excellent and entertaining textbook October 4, 2009 A. Wood (USA) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
We are using this textbook for my critical thinking course. It does an excellent job of making informal logic interesting. Even when you are reading about things you already know, Moore and Parker make it a fun read by adding in plenty of real-life examples. The exercises for each chapter are tedious but straightforward and effective -- they require a lot of time to complete but I always have a better understanding of the material after completing them. I would recommend this book for any informal logic course.
