5 out of 5 stars Excellent resource   August 31, 2010
Eric Schober
I read Teaching With Love and Logic over the summer, and found it quite pertinent and applicable to today's classroom. I am only a beginning teacher, and I have yet to apply the techniques found in this book, but it was a pleasurable and insightful read. If I were to find any fault in the book it is that it may be a tad repetitive at times, covering and recovering the same topics in slightly different ways.

1 out of 5 stars Mold damage; smart @$$ response from seller   July 5, 2010

Received moldy, badly water damaged book; seller says I must not have read her review of the book, which honestly I may not have as I may have gotten seller mixed up from the review I read. However, NO BOOK SHOULD BE SOLD THAT HAS MOLD IN IT, it should be destroyed. Seller willing to refund, however her abrupt response, including her listing description of the book and telling me I must not have read it, told me she was not really willing to satisfy her customer. Point remains, no mold, period!!! Would not buy anything from seller again, not even for one cent...did not return book, don't want it in circulation.

3 out of 5 stars Lower than expectations   June 8, 2010

This book came highly recommended by a math teacher. I have not had a chance to implement anything, but as of yet it seems a little wishy washy. I have found a couple of good tidbits, but I certainly enjoyed "The Reluctant Disciplinarian" more.

2 out of 5 stars Fine for the masses.   May 24, 2010

I found this a little more idealistic than practical. I've not found this useful for those kids who like to ignore the logic. Some middle school kids just aren't motivated by doing better or getting good grades. This can work for the kids who are motivated by the adult praise and attention.

5 out of 5 stars Dont Teach school without reading this book   May 4, 2010
Just Another Teacher
This book came highly recommended by some of my peers. I have been a math teacher for several years and at the beginning, I felt I was struggling on adopting a style that would work for me. This book is inspirational about how you can modify your approach but still be the same inner person that you already are.

Its a quick read and hopefully, you will like it as much as I do.
