| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description OP Amps deliberately straddles that imaginary line between the technician and engineering worlds. Topics are carefully addressed on three levels: operational overview, numerical analysis, and design procedures. Troubleshooting techniques are presented that rely on the application of fundamental electronics principles. Systematic methods are shown that can be used to diagnose defects in many kinds of circuits that employ operational amplifiers.
One of the book's greatest strengths is the easy-to-read conversational writing style. The author speaks directly to the student in a manner that encourages learning. This book explains the technical details of operational amplifier circuits in clear and understandable language without sacrificing technical depth.
Easy-to-read conversational style communicates procedures an technical details in simple language. Three levels of technical material: operational overview, manericall analysis, and design procedures. Mathematics limited to algebraic manipulation.

| Customer Reviews: The best book I have found on op amp design December 22, 2009 M. Rothschild This is by far the best book on op amp design. It does a fantastic job not only describing the fine details of the op amp but gives practical design examples of each configuration. I was finally able to grasp concepts that I had great difficulty following for over thirty years. I would definitely recommend this book to beginners on the subject of op amp circuit design.
Very good resource January 5, 2007 eosn This book has been an excellent help for me in my studies. The chapters are clear and concise. The diagrams are well drawn and the examples used provide further understanding of the subject matter.
Excellent Book, Nice Examples for Op-Amps August 25, 2001 Neil W. Fisk 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
You don't need to look very hard to find some good examples in this book. The author has done a great job with the layout in the book. The methods for design and component selection are excellent. The math is always there, but not overly difficult. Some chapters I have skiped over, while others I have read 3 or 4 times. The approach the author takes to constructing active filters takes minimal effort with reasonable results for any design.Troubleshooting op-amp circuits is not always easy, but David Terrell explains details from the manufacturer data sheets which commonly fail amoung alot of the different families of op-amps. Some of the technical points are brief, but are helpful in all cases where your using them.I buy alot of engineering books each year. There's no myth or magic when designing with op-amps, but everthing you wanted to know is here.
